Time for an actual blog update!

Its been a very long time and lots of very exciting things are happening at the moment!

Tell me, you've already bought your very own copy of 'The Phlunk' written by Lou Rhodes?

YOU HAVEN'T!? Well why ever not?! I illustrated it, silly heads! Its a lovely children's book about a cat-like alien that hears all you say and do, and you can buy a signed copy, right here right now, via my website! Its also in your local Waterstones, so pop in and ask a lovely staff member to order one into store especially for you. 

You can also find it over at Amazon, but stop them killing independent bookshops by buying locally and support Illustrators and writers!

The book has been received really well with all of the reviews that we have had so far, with parents and guardians often being unsure of it but their children loving it! I'll link up some of the reviews from lovely bloggers and book reviewers just below, so you should definitely read and follow these people for more great reviews!

The Phlunk Proofs have been delivered!

I cant even describe how excited I am, however I can't make head nor tail of which order they seem to have printed the pages in.. I've never received such a big box!

I am also hoping to do an 'Ask Me Anything' on Reddit in the next few days, to discuss my experiences of freelance illustration, and also as a young disabled person. Watch this space for more details.

So it seems that the triumph of finishing my Children's Book has encouraged me to throw myself into being more creative. Hurray! Hurray!

Its a beautiful sunny day today in Devon. I spent some time at the beach in Teignmouth with my faithful hound Cherry, and now, as I hope to see Tom Daley win Team GB another gold medal and plough through some scrumptious melon slices with David, I thought I should tell you some very exciting news...

After a very (very) long time, the children's book that I have been illustrating has finally been signed off, completed, and is on the printing press! Reach for a bottle of something chilled guys! Hurray!

"The Phlunk", written by Lou Rhodes of the band LAMB and I published our book in association with Strata Books, and I am completely over the flippin' moon!

We've had a tough time between me moving house & becoming settled with David, holidays and numerous Lamb/Solo tours, but now, book one is complete, and I am so excited for book 2.

Here's a snapshot or two of the printing proofs from Lou's iPad so the quality isn't great, but I don't want to spoil you guys, you can go buy your own copy soon enough :)

Big news is coming this way very soon, but unfortunately it's all under wraps for a few more days yet. I'm itching to tell you!
